Spanish Básico 1/ EN is aimed at students who prefer English as the language of instruction. It is the first part of the basic course Spanish (CEFR A1 level). The complete A1 level consists of 3 parts. Spanish 1 will provide the student with a general introduction to the Spanish language: sound system, pronunciation, functional vocabulary related to everyday life, cultural information and basic grammatical structures.

For whom: Knowledge of the Spanish language is not required for enrolment for this course. It is a beginner’s course.

Result after the course: You know how to pronounce Spanish words and you've learned basic grammar rules such as personal pronouns, adjectives and regular and some irregular verbs. You are able to have short conversations in Spanish and you can read short texts and answer questions about the content.

Frequency, duration, day and time:  Once a week during 11 weeks. The first lesson is in the week of 20 January unless noted otherwise. You can choose one of these groups:
