A Decade of Dialogue: join the All-You-Can-Talk Program!

TaalTaal has run the successful All-You-Can-Talk program for ten years now. It offers free and engaging conversation settings in Dutch, English and Spanish. It helps give an extra boost to your regular language classes, which already give a lot of attention to practical speaking skills.

By engaging with people from others groups, you can get even more practice. TaalTaal recognizes that practising Dutch, for example, is easier said than done, even in the Netherlands, because so many people tend to switch to English directly. It also helps retain the knowledge of regular classes by being able continue to practice. The classes are headed by similar teachers as the normal classes, so if you have a question about grammar, you can always ask.

Who Can Join?

If you've completed a paid class with us in the past year, you're eligible to dive in at no extra cost. It's our way of helping encourage the enthusiasm for languages among our students. Besides, it's not exactly bad advertising when our students speak better and with more confidence, so it's a win-win all the way.

Positive feedback and continued attendance from students shows it really helps with real-world application and boosting fluency. The classes aren't in a set format or with a book, so each session stands by itself, so it doesn't matter how much you attend or don't attend: you cannot "miss" a class. This is perfect if you're too busy to attend a regular class.

Although the fellow students in your class are very nice, it does help to practice with different people and become more comfortable and familiar with the concept of talking the language with them. In the end, you should be able to talk with total strangers.

How to Sign Up

Signing up is easy: you can go to the course page for your language and then sign up for the AYCT class of your choice. You can also do this at reception. It's not strictly necessary to sign up, but it's recommended in case of schedule changes.

Looking back at the past ten years, we conclude that having such free conversation sessions adds to building a vibrant community of language learners and that it helps promote the vision and mission of TaalTaal, which is to encourage positive communication, build friendships, exploring languages and cultures and growing together.
